Meet Elba & Leo, the people behind the shine
We're Elba and Leonardo, a Chilean couple and the founders of Shine&Go NZ, a truly family-run business.
We're both engineers by profession. Before moving into cleaning, we came from process- and systems-driven fields: Leo in IT and technology, Elba in logistics and continuous improvement. That engineering mindset, structured and detail-oriented, is exactly what we bring to every service we offer today.
We arrived in New Zealand eight years ago, and like many immigrants, working in cleaning was part of our first steps here. Starting from the ground up, we learned the trade, understood what customers really value, and discovered something we didn't expect: cleaning is about much more than getting a job done. It's about creating a space where people feel comfortable, cared for and proud of their environment.
That's how Shine&Go NZ was born. Innovation is central to how we work: we bring the same engineering discipline we once applied to projects and operations into every clean, so it's fast, reliable, and free of surprises.
And while we take the systems behind our work seriously, we haven't lost the human touch that brought us here: every job ends with a small chocolate as a thank you, a simple gesture that's already become part of who we are.
